Nobody likes the thought of preparing for disaster, but when you do it just doesn’t pay to cut corners... if the job is half done it may just as well not have been done at all. SECOL are now able to offer ROSENGRENS POLARIS Fire Proof Cabinets which meet the most exacting standard in the World- S120DIS ECB-S. This definitive standard means the cabinet has been placed unprepared into a 1090º C furnace for 2 hours, taken out and dropped 9.14 mtrs onto a rubble and concrete floor. It is then re-heated for 45 minutes and left for a further 10 hours to achieve maximum soak temperature before finally being opened to determine the integrity of the contents. The standard is only achieved if the contents rise no more than 30ºC. Whilst paper will withstand 170º C before browning, Datamedia will be non-recoverable after just 55º C, which is why any ordinary fire-resistant safe is as good as useless. The Rosengrens Polaris from SECOL can be tailored with shelves and hanging files to suit your media storage exactly, and once the door is pushed shut the contents are safe from fire, building disasters and water damage.
